Request for Support for Highlight Footnotes #1

Can you add support for highlight footnotes? Like^[This is a footnote] or[^1].

[^1]: This is other footnote.

And, by the way, if you can add support for highlight pandoc reference it will be much appreciated!

I guess I should perhaps pull from the default package again. But I don’t really intend to actively maintain this package. Use modern color schemes in combination with the default package is the best way to go if you want any particular highlighting.
