The font 'Lato' renders polish characters incorrectly when using font-weight 300 #326

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Import Lato from Google Web Fonts: <link
href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato:300,400,700' rel='stylesheet'
type='text/css'>
2. Render some text with font-family set to 'Lato' and font-weigth set to '300'.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: All text should be rendered with the 'Lato'-font and a font-weight of
300.
Actual: All ASCII characters are rendered correctly but all polish characters
(such as ą ł & ń) are rendered bold. See attached pictures.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows 8.1 with latest Chrome, latest IE and latest Firefox.

Please provide any additional information below.
Downloading the original font files for 'Lato' and loading them locally renders
all polish text correctly. When loading from Google Web Fonts it does not.

You can also see an example of the problem at
http://www.latofonts.com/lato-free-fonts/ if you scroll down a bit. That site
also imports the font from Google Web Fonts as an example for users.

A fix for this is in progress:

https://code.google.com/p/googlefontdirectory/source/detail?r=25f3d69a1c0803651f

Does the 'update' text at the end of this file explain how to resolve the issue
clearly?

https://code.google.com/p/googlefontdirectory/source/browse/ofl/lato/DESCRIPTION
.en_us.html

That file is used to generate the www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Lato page.

The 'update' text is clear! Any idea of when this fix will be available?

Please change http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Dosis to
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Dosis&subset=latin,latin-ext
