Mainly because MyQ has not stepped in and told them to stop.
But also, neither of those involve MyQ being polled from centralized cloud servers the way SmartThings was doing. It would be difficult for MyQ to try and stop polling from thousands of decentralized clients.
I use Hubitat. Basically Hubitat could do it since it’s local. Who can I pay to make this?
Not really sure on that one. If I the day ever comes where I need to move platforms, I'll consider it, but it's not something I can do at the moment.
How does homebridge and home assistant accomplish this?
