When opening a tab using MMB on back arrow the tab is immediately closed, before it can go to the targeted URL

Youtube vidA (now open, not yet "history")
Youtube vidB (MMB open this one)
Youtube vidC (MMB doesn't work either)
...

The issue is not specific to Youtube or any other website I can tell

Delay closing new tab when opened through history dropdown.

Middle mouse button. It opens the previous tab in a new tab in Chrome and Edge.
