Yes, yes it doesn't. It doesn't ask if there is exactly one document with unsaved changes. Maybe by design? (doubtful smiley)
An experiment with a fresh application shows that it's not by design. Strange that it should happen, then...
Test (on the iMac) shows that app quits without question even if multiple dirty windows do exist. Post (2up) may be wrong. When closing windows individually (clicking on red button / Command+W), save dialog does appear.
Maybe the functionality broke when I started creating documents myself (via my Organizer)? Do documents need to be registered (e.g. with some controller) in order to be considered for saving during application termination?
Using the proper method to create untitled documents solves this issue! (phew)

If a document has unsaved changes and the user quits the application using ⌘+Q, the application doesn't ask the user if the changes should be saved. That can't be right!
