This might be purely because they get more traffic. One way we could help fix this is with links back to major crags from sites like wikipedia.

Links to climbing.com.au and chockstone.

Once we have some lat long data we could potentially semi automate detecting wikipedia entries that have lat long data and link between wiki and thecrag mutually. This might be part of a larger work to cross link with other databases.
