Oblique Mercator map projections for individual segments are implemented in celeri.get_okada_displacements using pyproj. However, this has not been extensively tested...at all. Things to consider
With pyproj two point Oblique Mercator projection with skew correction (Hotnine -or- Rectified Orthographic Skew) is north always pointing up in the +y direction?
Is behavior in the Southern Hemisphere the same as the Northern Hemisphere?
Is there a way to get the skew "angle" back from the "projection" object every time we project?
