We decided to label this issue as NotInScope because at the end of the day, the purpose of the user guide is to educate the user on how to operate the application and use the commands. Ultimately, the user guide does teach the user how to use the merge command. It may not be reasonable to talk about the general significance of the individual functionalities from a macro standpoint in a user guide which has the main purpose of remaining user friendly and guiding users on how to use our application. Adding such explanations may cause the user guide to become cluttered and messy. We added the explanation of its significance in the DG in hopes of clearing any doubts up to the best of our abilities but we felt that it would be reasonable to omit such information from a UG where tidiness and conciseness is of utmost importance.

Reason for disagreement: [replace this with your explanation]
In the UG, the
merge
feature did not show what is the use of it to the user. Only upon reading the DG then the use of themerge
feature became much clearer. This feature should have more explanation as to why would the user would find this feature useful for them.
