Switch Chatter function essentially freezes the application. #22

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a chat.
2. Click a switch chatter button.
3.

When I click the switch button in-chat a border of the captcha window appears 
with a plain white empty frame on the inside. So I cannot get rid of the 
captcha, and thus cannot get out of the app. So for all intents and purposes it 
is frozen and the only way to get rid of it is to restart my computer. (I have 
not found its process in task manager)

I am using v1.8 on XP proffesional OS
