Chat lock up #26

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Unknown

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The program responds to input but messages will remain in the typing box, 
pressing enter will not send them to the conversation.
Strangers will also stop sending messages and will remain in typing status if 
they were before the lock up undefinately.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.9. Win 7 64 bit

I am aware of this bug. A lot of the functions have been put on separate 
threads for 2.0, which seems to have fixed the issue.
