However I think the stray ' is a actually a plural possessive? Not a grammar buff though so correct me if I'm wrong.

Granted the sentence could probably simply be worded better, feel free to take a stab at that to just eliminate the awkwardness altogether.

Hmm, you're right. the trailling ' is correct for plural possessive. Thanks, gave me a reason to read up on it. :+1:
