What video format does XBMC play? #21

I tried to play a video in WMV and MP4 format and it presented the FATAL CRASH error.

I tried to play a video in AVI format and XBMC didn't do anything, just like when I tried to play a photo in JPG format.

The FFMPEG library's are quite old and in dire need of updating you just need to try it, it won't play a lot of the newer stuff but I had good luck with a while back as I converted a heap of movies for the kids using handbrake with fairly good results, can't remember my settings but i found a movie that played and copied the settings.
