GrowlTunes wakes up dvd when iTunes is not open #444

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Have iTunes closed & the DVD drive asleep
2. Click the GrowlTunes MenuBar Icon
3. DVD drive is woken up

What is the expected output?
DVD drive to stay sleeping
What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
GrowlTunes 2.0  OS x 10.7.3

Please provide any additional information below.

is there a disc in the drive?

I attempted this on a mid-2010 MBP and nothing happened.

I can't reproduce this. We need steps to reproduce.

This is a late 2006 MBP

When I click on growl tunes in the menu bar the dvd-rom drive spins up as if it 
is looking for a disc in the drive

will check on the 2007 model and have my dad check on the 2006 model.

Yep, when I click on the menu bar icon I hear the dvd drive spin
