6 years ago I've seen it routinely just miss the bobber the first time only to catch it right away the second time. Since it works it's probably not a big deal but it seems like we could decrease the amount of space it moves each time a tiny bit and start catching it the first time, each time. Not sure it's necessary though.
The default scan area is pretty good; it seems to always include the areas that I've chosen. But it could be improved as its currently always larger than the area I've chosen, which means the scan sometimes runs out of time to find the bobber.
