Should group identifiers XOR group sizes be closest to the data area? #26

I find it might ease interpretation if the group identifiers are closest to the graphic, so your eyes traverse less of a vertical distance to answer the question "which group corresponds to this effect?"

I'll try to come up with some concrete mockups that compare the two looks.

I think the changes introduced in ef4dfc80d19b323daa489bc82cda03a4e7c7651d create a pleasing effect, and support the conclusion that group sizes should be on the outside.
