description field of the DESCRIPTION file needs to be updated #82

If the words from the granova PACKAGE documentation are used to start this out, I will edit. b

Please vet the new text for the description carefully; note that authorship has not been taken care of here, but needs to be to be consistent w/ that recently provided elsewhere (?).

But I've written a replacement for this text less than an hour ago; I won't copy/paste the same thing to another place until I know why that is needed. Seems we have a labeling problem. The substantive work has now been done. b

already identified the need to rewrite the description... you created a new issue (#98), rather than responding the the existing issue (#82) with the changes to be made.

If an issue already is on the checklist, you'll typically want to respond (comment on) that issue, rather than open a second ticket for the same issue.

What am I missing? This issue should not be 'closed' (should it) unless the relevant text I wrote within the past hour replaces the Description here. So we need to attend to the authorship here as well as that description and the dates in this connection. b
