@AndrewArch Thank you for starting the discussion. It's one that W3C will always struggle with. I think that once we see how the group forms, there could be several versions of group meetings, not one where we all have to come together all as one group. There can be sub group meetings to account for different timezones.
Very good point @AndrewArch. One of the possible ideas being discussed is to have Workstreams. These would be various projects about particular topics of interest and group members would join one or more workstreams that they are interested in supporting and giving their time and effort to. These workstreams would work independently on their own frequency and timing of meetings. Then there would be a way for the workstreams to report back to the whole group on progress, seek guidance/edits, and eventually hand off their project deliverable. Chairs would support and encourage the workstreams as well as manage the coordination with the larger group. Just some initial thoughts of working different than EOWG in order to support participants in many different time zones.
Under Participation you propose that participants "Attend group meetings". However, that has the same time-zone issues that EOWG currently has. I don't have a solution, but wanted to start some discussion around this.
