Connect Lutron Pro Hub (L-BDGPRO2) #35

This device is auto discovered by Home Assistant, and I can add it via Homekit. However, I cannot connect to it with the Lutron app on my iPhone, which is apparently required to get the Integration Report necessary to integrate it into Home Assistant so I can get the Pico Remote button press events.

Unless ... ... I can get the events from the Homekit component. Hmmm...

Connecting the hub with Homekit does not appear to add it to the list of Integrations, nor does it add anything to the Entity Registry.

Although, I have been unable to add any remotes to the hub due to the lack of connection via the Lutron app. Maybe there is a way to add them either through a Homekit app... or manually by pressing the button on the back of the hub?

Adding to the Homekit (Home) app prompts you to finish configuring the hub with the Lutron app... which cannot connect to the hub.

I am out of ideas, so I contacted the eBay seller in the hopes of a resolution.

Hello, I am a pretty technically inclined guy, but I haven't been able to get the Lutron app on my iPhone to connect to this bridge.

I have spent several days off and on trying to troubleshoot it. I discovered how to reset the bridge (clicking 'Add' 3 times, holding for a bit, then clicking 3 more times). I have tried connecting the app to the bridge a couple of minutes after resetting it, I have tried immediately after resetting it, and it always gives up and says "Cannot connect to your Lutron system." I have tried every suggestion in Lutron's help screen.

I have been able to the Bridge to connect via Homekit to Apple's Home app, but it tells me I need to use the Lutron app to configure the Bridge. So that route doesn't improve matters. I have the bridge connected to the ethernet, and I can confirm that it appears on the network (it has an IP address on my router). I even tried a brand new ethernet cable just in case. None of these things have worked.

Do you have any more troubleshooting suggestions? I am starting to wonder if I was just unlucky and got a defective unit? Do you happen to have another one to replace it with?

I was able to connect to the hub by creating a new Lutron account with an alternate Email address. I must have had an old hub still associated with that account!
