Formatting #22

Can we please agree a format for spaces. I was using 2 spaces, it looked like Brian was using 4 spaces and now there's a bunch of code that's been checked in under tabs which has screwed a) the diffs but also formatting.

I'm saying stick with Brian's format.

soft tabs / 4 spaces! (ala the crockford)
