smart chat , top level folder exclusion #680

hello everybody,

i would like to disable the setting to exclude top level folders from smart chat. is that possible in any way?

some of the top level folders include important notes that i really want to access via smart chat.

for example, i have a top level folder called persons and there i have specific notes for each person. however the smart chat can not retrieve info for specific persons.

i could 'burry' the persons folder under an other folder but i want to have a simplified folder structure

any ideas?

hello i found the solution. i disabled block embeddings and then did a force refresh and restarted obsidian. it seems to be working now. but this setting to exlude top level folder buffles me. there is no option to enable/disable this

completely reinstalled. still can't change.

figured it out. image

all the excluded files are listed in the field - but it's all in one line instead of listed by rows
