Embedding hangs

After I installed the plugin, the embedding part hangs. It just stays there without anything statistics increasing after an hour.

Steps I did to setup:

1. I installed the plugin from the community plugin store. It's version 2.1
2. I've created Open Router and OpenAI accounts and have added 20$ to them.
3. I've added OpenRouter and OpenAI API keys. After each installment, I received a notification that the keys are ok.
4. I did a force refresh

I made it work.

Steps:

1. Disable and reenable the plugin.
2. It then blocks at 400 out 599.
3. Pause embedding.
4. Press "Refresh Notes".
5. Press "force_refresh".

Thanks for letting me know about this. And thanks for following up with the workaround 😊

Today I published a new version, 2.1.87 that should address this issue. iirc, I encountered the same bug when I was testing the update. If so, it should be fixed.

I believe I'm having the same problem.

Token use is zero on embedding after the recent Smart Connect v1.2.5 update.

Is a connection key required?

@jwhco a connection key is not required for improving the embeddings for the Obsidian Smart Connections plugin.

However, the email being input might be confusing things.

Try using the "Reset Settings" button and then clicking the button in the screenshot below. 🌴

Thanks. I'm strictly a local model here. It doesn't seem to hang now.
