@raebot Awesome! I can help organize. Let me know what you need. And if there is work to do on open data-maker, so I agree that it would make sense to continue on that, unless someone has another project they would like to propose. Otherwise, I would say there is always work we could do on Bridgetroll.
The week of November 16th-20th, except Thursday the19th, would work for hosting at C5. How does that week work for you, @aneyzberg @ultrasaurus @Holyoke ?
Wednesday would work best for me, I'll be in the city.

Wednesday 11/18 works for me.
Into it! 11/18 is good.
Great. We're confirmed for Wednesday, November 18th 6-10pm at Carbon Five. Dinner will be provided and my first guess is that we'll need it for between 20-30 people.
Speaking of headcount, does that seem reasonable? How was turn out at the last event and would you like to adjust?
@ultrasaurus want to check in with you: is this ready to be posted on Bridge Troll?
@raebot that sounds great! I would say the maximum number of people would be 20. The first event was a little on the larger side with 24 people, but since then the events have had between 15-20 people.
works for me!
I'd love to come help. I'm experienced with ruby mostly, but I've got a ton of pairing experience, and I'd be glad to work on whatever.
@mattmills, awesome. I've got you down as one of the volunteers. This Bridge Troll event is awaiting approval: https://www.bridgetroll.org/events/231. It'd be great if you could RSVP here when it is approved. Thanks!
@aneyzberg @shamus @ultrasaurus @Holyoke, assuming we want a max cap a 20 ppl, should I specify that limit when creating the Bridge Troll event? I'm taking that to mean 10 volunteers and 10 folks looking to pair with a volunteer.
@raebot sorry I missed this. It looks like the event is already up. But yes, I think that is the right idea.
Thanks, @aneyzberg. It looks like we're ready to go with 10 folks signed up as students and 9 as volunteers. I can be the 10th volunteer unless we get another one. Besides ordering dinner for Wednesday, is there anything else needed for prep?
@raebot That should be it. The only other thing we need is name tags. Does C5 have some we can use? Otherwise I can bring some.
@raebot can you make me a co-organizer and I will add some detail about the project, and also can email people so they will have the info to set up stuff in advance.
Wah--it took me forever to respond! @ultrasaurus, I just made you a coorganizer. @aneyzberg, we've got name tags covered, I'm pretty sure. Will confirm around lunchtime.
@raebot @shamus @aneyzberg I'm going to open up the waitlist, since usually we have some student no shows and groups of three have worked well
@ultrasaurus sounds good!
Maybe we should add an item to the checklist:
Do a clean install of the project the night before the workshop. Or the day of.
that's a great idea!
this happened, it was awesome. Closing the issue!
@aneyzberg @Holyoke @ultrasaurus
@shamus and I have been talking about Carbon Five hosting another Open Source Pairing Workshop. We also have a few other devs at C5 who are interested in joining.
Background: an intermediate workshop where more experienced devs (anyone who knows JS and/or Ruby who has done a pull request before and is comfortable diving into a new open source project) pair.
Project: open data maker -- it is a good-for-the-world open data project that will feature an exciting new data set, utilizing Ruby and JavaScript.
Open data maker has plenty of open issues, so it would make sense to continue work there. I'm also open to working on another project. What are folks thoughts here?
Next week:
A week before the event we can:
