Multiple people, including a technical writer have suggested to me that since most of the instructions in the Quickstart are not KinD-specific, we should probably remove the KinD instructions from the beginning and just leave it at something along the lines of "you need a local cluster; we suggest KinD." The overall effect is that the Quickstart is shorter and therefore less intimidating. It also doesn't unnecessarily send minikube users off on a KinD tangent.
