What XBMC version are you running on your Pi? I will check mine today.

Frodo Beta 1, but since other streams work fine, I think it has something to do
with the streams themselves not working properly.

Can it have something to do with the fact that the Pi does not have codecs for
decoding MPEG-2 and VC-1? Just something I thought of...

I just purchased both codecs and will test later.

Do you have any examples of episodes that play audio only?
Original comment by basrie...@gmail.com

There are no specific episodes that don't display video, Uitzendinggemist works
a treat (thank you for that!), so do the RTL XL episodes. I have only stumbled
upon this issue when trying to play live streams, such as the channels from
Nederland24. It has something to do with them being live streams instead of
"missed" episodes that are streamed differently.

me having the same problem, think it's has nothing todo with the mpeg/vc codecs.
the codecs used are:
- nederland24: wmav2 and wmv3
- missed episodes: aac and h264

Is there anybody that has the bought the codecs for the Pi and has time to
double check? My rPi is in the bedroom, which is occupied by my 6 week old
daughter and wife most of the time. So it's a bit difficult to test.

I have the same problem, Sveriges Television (SVT.se) works just fine but
episodes from TV6.se or TV3.se play with audio only.

it is a codec problem. If somebody spends 2 EUR on the license, we will know if
it works.

I just checked here on my Pi (it was abandoned for a moment) and I have audio
and video on the Journaal 24 and Politiek 24 channels.....It just crashes
Raspbmc if you stop the streams (again, not an XOT-Uzg.v3 issue).
I have bought both codec licenses available for the the Pi. So if somebody that
has video of the channels be willing to buy the licenses so we can double
check?

I have a similar issue when using the Dumpert channel (dutch) on the Raspberry
Pi.
Audio will play but no video. I see that it is likely a codec issue and I am
willing to spend 2 euro to see if that does the trick but I have no idea how :)

Really strange. What version of XBMC are you using on rPi? OpenElec/Raspbmc?
and what versions of these two?

If you are asking me I am using the latest raspbmc (auto update).
When I start for tv6play (svtplay works fine though) I see a static picture
and can hear only audio, if I maximize the screen i get a black screen only.

getting my raspi in a couple of days and was looking into what to expect. I
guess it has something to do with codecs, but i also ran into this similar
problem:
http://www.erikdevries.com/hardware/de-installatie-van-xbmc-op-een-raspberry-pi/
Its in dutch ;)
solution for black screen, no audio might be editting /boot/config.txt. Change
the value “gpu_mem=100″ to something higher, probably “gpu_mem=128″.

COMXCoreComponent::DecoderEventHandler OMX.broadcom.video_decode –
OMX_ErrorInsufficientResources, insufficient resources
Open /boot/config.txt in bijvoorbeeld vi of nano: sudo nano /boot/config.txt
Pas de regel “gpu_mem=100″ aan naar “gpu_mem=128″ en sla de wijzigingen op
Reboot de Raspberry Pi en probeer of de video nu correct werkt."
