Issues with README.Rmd #25

I think the README.Rmd file is actually plain markdown now - you may want to adjust that to be a proper .Rmd file (this will make your life easier in the long run - you can then just re-knit the document if you need to update anything).

See for instance an .Rmd file here and the resulting markdown file here.

I also just noticed that the README file needs to be updated to reflect changes throughout the package (e.g. function names, etc.).
