After the SOP workshop an identified need was the ability to combine into a single "GDAC-aware workspace" (see below for what this generally means) not only GDAC method configs but also configs from other groups (namespaces). Binyamin, for example, wished to mix GDAC and GTEX configs into a single workspace.
A GDAC-aware workspace is one that walks and quacks like a GDAC duck. So it would contain one or more GDAC method configurations, plus the data and workspace attributes that they would need to operate, be queryable with gdac_extract and gdac_dashboard, etc.
