Since we want to allow users to add variants to recommended lists (#95) and optionally specify a transcript for custom lists (#74), then line between recommended and custom lists is becoming increasingly blurred.
We could remove the type distinction and use an option to include variants from gnomAD to get the current recommended list behavior.
