I am a little confused by the distinction of trio or proband. It seems like rather than being a family-level field this should be an individual-level field, and where we have data for the trio we should indicate it by adding the data type for all the family members. Would that work?
I'm concerned we would miss the tag if it's under the individuals, which defeats the purpose. What if we dropped the trio/proband distinction and left it at the family level?
This is now available!
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. We have several families in seqr with additional -omics data outside of seqr. This information is often referred to during analysis meetings as it is an important consideration when looking into candidates, resources spent, and suggesting next steps. Right now we track this information across several spreadsheets which is cumbersome and often overlooked. I have started collecting this information into one spreadsheet but it would be best if we could track it directly in seqr.
Describe the solution you'd like We'd like to add an 'External Data' section on the family page to show if there are additional -omics data available on the family/proband. Example enumerations would be:
Describe alternatives you've considered We've considered tracking this info in seqr several ways, including as free text in case notes or as an enumerated dropdown. The dropdown is preferred because it would be standardized across families and more noticeable.
