Video confusing-please provide step documentation #1

Thanks for providing.. but that video is confusing without documentation.. First assumed it was already in image format to just reimage an SD then after extracting and realizing it was a .bin file, see there is more to it.

In the video you show your on a raspberry pi already.. confusing. Assuming that you flashed the SD using a raspbery pi, (This is usually done with a Desktop) assuming I could do this in a Virtual Machine..

Assuming you have two SD card, one with Raspbian installed and used to boot up with the raspberry pi 3, then you can use this linux system to flash the Android image to another SD card.

The video just tech you how to flash the image to SD card in linux environment. If your virtual machine has linux system installed, you can uses this method to flash the image and extend the userdata partition.

I got it figured out..

Actually, Etcher image writer is able to write .bin files. I didn't know that. Got it imaged and working...

Now just need to install playstore..or some Android package manager.

I downloaded it extracted it and used etcher to flash it but when I put it in it does the rainbow screen then turns black and stays black. How did you get it to work?

@brobwind so are you just using a usb card reader? that makes it much less sorcery.

I'm using an sd card reader with my PC running ubuntu

@themontyhouse ran into the same black screen, until i ditched the 7 inch touchscreen and just plugged in hdmi...

Are you able to switch back after you get android set up?

I haven't the slightest clue how to target the dsi connector in android...

same problem, when power on, rainbow, then black screen, im using 7inch screen. so it should be the driver issue
