Instructions to run the W-Helicity code

Setup

• This code runs into the CMSSW environment. To create it:

  • edit your .bashrc by adding:

    source /cvmfs/cms.cern.ch/cmsset_default.sh

  • log out and log in again.
• Now, you are able to create a CMS environment:

  cmsrel CMSSW_11_0_0
  cd CMSSW_11_0_0/src
  cmsenv

• in the same src dir, clone this repo

  git clone git@github.com:brochero/TFM_DanSer.git

Compilation

• The first code that you will use is BDTAnalizer.cc. Check the details and the workflow.
• To compile, just type

  gmake

Testing

• To check how to use the code:

  ./BDTNanoAnalyzer.exe --help

  NOTE: I will add more information later. Start with this.

Don't forget to do make every time you modify the code.

When you have a stable version, push the changes.

Missing file (just change its name to `tree_64.root.hist) tree_64.txt

@brochero I think is better to have the tree64.root file again, due to the following error:

I have copied the tree_64.root file to login1:/tmp/ could you copy it to your directory and test it?

Done it! all seems to be working again, in a moment I will try with the validation script
