Enforce additional Ruff rules #66

The Ruff configuration currently enforces:

A: flake8-builtins
C4: flake8-comprehensions
E: pycodestyle errors
F: pyflakes
I: isort
W: pycodestyle warnings

Currently ignored rules that could also be enforced are:

[ ] E501: Line too long ( > characters)
[ ] E741: Ambiguous variable name: <VARIABLE NAME>
[ ] F821: Undefined name <VARIABLE>

Candidate rules to be added:

[ ] B: flake8-bugbear
[ ] D: pydocstyle
[ ] N: pep8-naming
[ ] PT: flake8-pytest-style
[ ] Q: flake8-quotes
[ ] UP: pyupgrade

Other candidates can also be added and should be listed above in this issue to track progress.
