Can't select objects when you open a project

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create table, add 4 rows, add text views and textedit to rows.
2. Add text values to objects, save project, shut down.
3. Restart, open saved project. can't select any object.
4. PCLinuxOS, KDE, binary droiddraw

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Able to click on everything else but objects in window

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest versions of all.

Please provide any additional information below.
Able to click on item and move it around. No border shows to tell you that 
you've selected an object and double clicking does not bring up the properties 
screen. Clicking on the object has no effect. Once you move an object, it then 
shows the yellow border around it but still not able to show properties for 
that object.

Repro'd this on my machine.  Not sure what's going on.  I'll look into it.
