Debug performance #42

Performance on the test worlds is still unsatisfactorily low. Use the brain visualization to debug each piece of the algorithm an make sure it's working well.

Hold off on writing How Becca Works (#32) until this is done.

In the process of preparing for the release version 0.10.1, I'm comfortable closing this for now. I expect there will be many quirks to fix and improvements necessary in the future, but they will merit their own tasks.
