looks pretty good. we need to make it so:

sensors don't throw errors when there are no buckets (currently get NPE)
sensors are defined with the right annotations so they format info for display (check with @grkvlt )

apart from this good to merge i think

unrelated test failure, will look at fixing it soon

also have a PR ready which repairs the issues noted above

so merging now
