Yeah I know what you mean. I wish more people knew you could just tap the top of the screen once to get back to the top (just like I wish more people knew ⌘ + F existed), but it is something to design around.
Just personally, on mobile, I find “back to top” links to take up way too valuable real estate to be useful. It also feels like a constant reminder “you shouldn’t be here” because when taking up dedicated onscreen space it feels like an encouragement to click rather than an escape hatch.
I’d rather go with option 2 and play around with a sticky nav.

I'm worried the amount of scrolling might make people feel stuck, esp if they want to re-read the intro section or get back to the résumé link quickly. Would love your thoughts on either:
