2 years ago Usually if they didn’t keep up the maintenance. Cran is pretty picky. Really now that everyone uses GitHub there’s not a difference between in GitHub and on cran. Cran also has special rules about the size of the package which can limit the size of example files so some people will keep it on GitHub.
