Until now when I wanted to "delete" a tree I used the keyboard shortcut "cmd+z" keyboard shortcut. Not very clever in the long run.
you can toggle tree states with omnibar(slash) command ⌘(macOS) or Ctrl(window) + / → tree

And I can with a shortcut... I didn't ask for that much!
