When using shift + drag to open a PDF as a new tab on the side, there was a problem with loading the PDF, and the tab remained blank. When I close the tab, a void appears on the side. I tried a second time, and it worked without problems. I tried it a third time, and the same error occurred.
Update: other document types like RTFs also seem to have this problem
