Unable to make link to a document open as a tab

I was trying to make a link from a document in one tab, to another tab (the document is the tab itself). The only way I could find to link the two was by dragging the second document (a tab) into the first document's tab, and then linking them that way, and it was very inconvenient. It'd be great to be able to link to a document open as a tab, maybe through the right click menu?

you should just be able to click the start link on one document and then click the +-like icon on the tab to access its end link. Let me know if I'm missing something.
