'+' button in Schema view disappears as column width is not responsive #756

When resizing the Chrome window on my computer everything else resizes, but the column width in schema view does not - so it is difficult to add new fields.

I notice that 'Show Preview' changes something about the view - but I'm not sure what it changes, and what 'show preview' does?
