You can change the view for the menu flyouts #828

You can change the collection view to something else which can result in weird behavior. The problem is, if you change the view for one menu item i.e TOOLS to freeform, the others will also be changed. There is no way of having tools be stacking view while dashboards is tree view.

should be fixed for future changes. If you've already changed your sidebar stuff, it will remain broken.
