does it stay that way after a refresh?

so in my testing now, I can get that to happen if a shared annotation is unshared. If I refresh the. browser, they go away. If permissions are re-granted, then it renders normally.

assuming the problem was caused by an annotation that you do't have permissions for, I pushed a fix that prevents it from showing up as an empty key value.
