When audio is playing in Dash as background audio in a freeform collection and you are doing something else (eg. annotating a PDF while listening to a related podcast), I think it would be useful to have a button, UI feature somewhere to indicate that audio is playing and to be able to navigate to the playing audio / video.
Also with this -- if you have multiple audio documents playing at once -- you could mute the master audio in the 'audio manager' or do other actions for example pause them all.
Below are some UI ideas for how this could look (with 4 different audio docs playing), I imagine this should also be for videos:
