Double check order of UpdateOnServer, ReferenceField, and ReleaseField #1116

I think a lot of things are doing stuff in the wrong order now, which shouldn't really be a problem but is technically not correct and could lead to problems very rarely.

I think the order should be: Reference new field, if any UpdateOnServer Release old field, if any
