Hey, I emailed @substack about this and wanted to see if any contributors would be interested:
I’m working on Otechie, a platform to help open source projects make money through paid support. Otechie allows businesses to pay to book time with a contributor for video-chat support. The payment can be split between Browserify and the contributor who does the support. Otechie aims to reduce the burden of help requests, give funding for Browserify, and make some side money for contributors.
What you’d need:
One person to be the admin of the support organization (this person could also do support). The admin would set the rates, who can do support, and be in charge of Browserify’s payouts.
At least one person who’d want to do support. This involves setting some availability and doing video-chat support when booked. To prevent feeling like you’re on call, bookings need to be made 24 hours ahead of time.
Leave a comment if you’d be interested in doing support or have any questions.
