This is really cool, I had seen the fork but not to such extent. I'm really busy lately but in a few months I'll be more offloaded, I'd be pleased to setup a public server then, I'll try to host it on the company I work, and otherwise on my personal server. I've also forked the project to make a different game style geared towards developers, and ended up porting BrowserQuest to coffeescript and browserify. I'll make more noise about it when I've something cool to show though.

Hi guys, i'm an ex-developer of ASKY (an extended version of browserquest).
Several months ago, our server has gone down due to some reasons that the main programmer + server owner had.
Well, now i do not want our works to disappear.. so if there is anyone who is interested in setting up the server, and to start to service it to people.. please comment!
P.S the codes are already on github but there are more items + monsters that have not yet been added to the game..
P.S.2 English was being added on the game, and we've not completed adding English yet.. Maybe it would be better to start making the game from scratch with the images + tilesheets which already have been developed.

Att, Jan Segre
@jansegre cool :) i'll be looking forward to it then.
Maybe if anyone else sets up the server first, we could all work as a single development team too
Hello Redbain, would it be possible to talk to you personally over skype or something? (Chat only)
@Flavius256 you can email me :) redbain21@hotmail.com
@redbain I have emailed you already xD I'm Tap Tap Adventure.
@Flavius256 mmm i havent received any from "Tap Tap Adventure" would u mind sending it again?
@redbain Messaged you now
Shouldn't this be closed as the server appears to have a new home?
@redbain Join us now we are developing similar projects http://115.28.246.221/client/
@redbain I can provide server application development
@45498106 That is not BrowserQuest.. This is what everyone here is talking about.
And I'm the only one here who continues development as it seems.
@Flavius256 This is my modified
@45498106 I'm the owner of Tap Tap Adventure.
@Flavius256 Very good How effective?
@45498106 Works quite well on iPhone 5+ and iPads. Lags on older devices. Do you have Skype? I wish to talk to you.
@Flavius256 I have older Skype
@45498106 No voice, I just wish to chat - Flavius201202
@Flavius256 I am currently focusing on the development of this game http://115.28.246.221/client/
It looks very nice, I wasn't ever a fan of zelda, however I wish you all the best on your endeavour.
@Flavius256 THX How did you find the server-side solution NODEjs program memory leak problem?
@45498106 There was never one. I didn't use Asky from the start, instead I've used this repository and built upon that, fixing every bug I've stumbled upon. There was never a memory leak.
@45498106 Can I have a link to your modified BrowserQuest?
@Flavius256 OKY
@45498106 I just want to play it, so link..?
Continuing the work of this, with work from Asky and me, making sure BrowserQuest isn't forgotten. Play at TapTapAdventure.com
I could host a version of it for free... In fact I have tried setting up the server, but I noticed there are no image files in the ASKY repository. Is there somewhere I can find them? I haven't been able to contact the author RedBain =/
@duduric Hi,
I have a very old download ASKY. Luckily, the folder "img" has all images from the game (img + sprites folder.):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/a0rml83rgoiycy7/img.zip?dl=0 & https://www.dropbox.com/s/286owv3ubzqrv3r/sprites.zip?dl=0
By the way, your projects are very intéréssant, and I encourage you to continue. ;)
Good day to you. ;)
@duduric Was wondering if you'd be interested in joining my BrowserQuest Extension which uses Asky's code as well as new enhancements.
@phinlolex Thanks a lot!! Those will come in handy!
@Flavius256 Sure. I'm mostly playing around with the code and creating a joke mmo with some friends. I'm currently rewriting the renderer (which is awfully optimized... it cleans the whole screen and redraws everything 60 times per second, making it a major resource hog. I have a old laptop that gets like 99% CPU use from the browser.)
@duduric Hey there, are you still working on improving the renderer? I have done some major modifications towards fixing the canvas renderer, but I was wondering how far you've gotten.
@Tach-Yon I pretty much finished a port using pixi.js, with smooth scrolling and zoom. The performance was miles better, working fully on mobile. Though I stopped working in it when it was like 95% done earlier in 2016... I'll try cleaning it a bit and putting the code up in Github this week.
@duduric That would be fantastic! My developer and I actually discussed having to re-do the entire CSS and rendering engine for our port of BrowserQuest using Pixi.js as well. Looking forward to seeing the code man :)
@Tach-Yon I have used PIXIJS to reconstruct the game program. Please contact me if you need
@45498106 Do you have skype, or discord, or an IM where I can talk to you?
@Tach-Yon I don't have skype, I have QQ chat tools
This is my version is not perfect
@45498106 All I would like is the tilemap and sprite parsing for Pixi.js, the rest I can implement into the game, like the packets, etc.
Yes, completely using PIXIJS+NODEJS refactoring
@45498106 So, what would you like in exchange?
If you want to work together to develop a new game Or I can provide technical support to improve the game
@45498106 I would just like some idea on how to use Pixi for improving my game -> http://taptapadventure.com/play
@Tach-Yon Need to change a lot of places The first to abandon the DIV+css Map tile rules using PIXIJS analytic reconstruction In short, there are many places to be improved The benefit is that the performance will be greatly improved
@45498106 wow this is amazing. I don't have a lot of time to dedicate but anyway I can be part of this? What is your contact info? I will have to download whatever QQ chat is.
@45498106 Thank you for the info, we have began redoing the entire CSS and I am currently writing the backend to support handlers such as quests, minigames. I'll post here when our rendering is redone or in acceptable state for showoff :)
@Tach-Yon The game is not perfect and I will release it to GitHub at the right time

P.P.S I'm not a programmer.. I was in charge of designing maps, armors, weapons + UI, so I can't help you with any of the codes :(
