Black screen after watching recordings

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open front row, select eyetv
2. Watch a recording
3. Press menu to return to frontrow

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should return to frontrow, but get black screen with spinning white disc, Disc 
stops spinning 
after a second or two and then screen stays black.  Pressing menu again exits 
out of frontrow to 
the desktop.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Front Row 2.1.7 
pyetv 1.2
EyeTV 3.1.2 (problem occurs on 3.1 also)
Mac OS 10.5.7
