EyeTV starts horrible slow

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Start FR then select EyeTV

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Latest version of EyeTV 3.3 & PyeTV 2.5.1

Please provide any additional information below.

Ehen selecting EyeTV I would expect it to start nearly immediately. However it 
takes a very long 
time to start. 

The wait is so long that some people think they have not pressed the button 
correctly and press 
it again an again.

If EyeTV is not running before entering Front Row, then it will take quite a 
while to
enter the EyeTV menu, as the program has to wait for EyeTV to start up and then 
send
its list of recordings.

Also, if you have a large number of recordings, then it may take a while to 
initially
populate the menus.

You should make sure that EyeTV is running before entering Front Row.

Beyond that, there's nothing I can do to speed this up, as I'm entirely 
dependent on
EyeTV to send its list of recordings.

I've got the same experience. 10 secs, from pressing "Eye TV" until the next 
screen shows up, regardless of wether EyeTV is already started or not.
Also when selecting "EPG" it takes 12 secs for the EPG to show up.

PyeTV 2.6, EyeTV 3.4.2 and Snow Leopard.
