black-screen when returning to front-row after live-tv #59

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. front-row
2. watching live-tv
3. pressing menu on remote OR esc on keyboard to return to front-row

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
instead of the front-row/pyetv channel-list, the screen stays black. pressing
menu several times
quits front-row after a while

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
snowleo 10.6.3, eyetv 3.4 and pyetv 2.6 for sn

Please provide any additional information below.
same problem on all of my 3 macs (same config) - new problem since 3.4 and 2.6
/ no problems
before with 3.3 and 2.5.1

returning from recordings works fine, but if i go then (after watching a
recording an going back to front-row) to
the channel-list i get the black screen to!
so problem might be the channel-list itself!?

Jens,

I can't reproduce this since I'm running Leopard, not 10.6, and it going to
live tv
and back works just fine for me.

Is there anything in the system.log file in the console when this happens?

hi and thanks for quick response!

09:54 start front-row
09:55 start live-tv
09:56 push menu => live-tv stops, returns to front-row but stays black
09:58 push 3times menu quits front-row

so it seems that front-row is running "normally" but do not displaying
anything!?

if i stop live-tv with MENU and then press 2times MENU (now i should be a the
front-row main-screen) and
then DOWN (for movies) and the 3times PLAY (choosing movies; play the first
one; play it from last position)
the screen stays black but the system.log refers the video-playback!

returning to front-row from watching recordings works fine (all front-row &
pyetv-menus are visible) BUT if i
then enter the channel-list it´s BLACK again!!! also the rest if i then press
MENU!

same Problem here:
SL 10.6.4, EyeTV 3.4, pyetv 2.6 for Snow Leopard

Whent to EyeTV through channel list, back to Front Row. Everything is black.
Then - with the black screen - navigated to play a video, then escaped to
finder. Here's the Konsole output:
