3.4.3 broke Pyetv #70

The error is most likely on Elgatos part, but their latest upgrade(3.4.3) has
broken PYETV

I have the same experience. Updating Eyetv to 3.4.3 and the Pyetv plugin is now
broken.

work. Comes up with An Error Occured. Press Play/Pause to exit front row.

This appears to be a bug in EyeTV. Nothing I can do but wait for the next
version of EyeTV. I recommend downgrading to 3.4.2:

See
http://support.elgato.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=
3074

for instructions on how to do this.

Thanks Jon,

I followed your downgrade instructions above and all works again. Also received
an email from Elgatto support, saying they were too aware of the problem and
were going to release a fix in the next upgrade.

Cheers Mick

I tried to downgrade but I'm still getting the same error in Front row "An
error occurred, press play/pause to exit Front row" Is there something I'm
missing. I'm bummed, shouldn't have upgraded.

This issue has been fixed by Elgato:

We updated EyeTV 3.4.3 (yesterday, I believe) to fix this. This is a “silent
update” to build 6308. It is silent in the sense that those who have already
updated to EyeTV 3.4.3 will not be notified automatically (by EyeTV) of its
existence, and “Check for Updates” won’t report it.

If you or any of your users already have an earlier build of EyeTV 3.4.3, and
need build 6308 to fix the “channels” problem, you can get build 6308 by
clicking on the link below:

<eyetv://checkforupdates?build=6308>

Hi,

Yes just got an email from Elgato support advising of the build. Installed and
all works good now.
